At Roblox, we're building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Voice Communication team, you'll help build how tens of millions of people talk to each other on Roblox. Voice is one of our most important levers for deeper social connection, and you'll shape the client experience that makes real-time communication feel fast, reliable, and natural on any device.
Your work has a direct impact on how many people use communication on Roblox every day. and it sits at the center of our mission to reimagine how people come together. Your work will ensure that any internal team at Roblox can easily onboard and integrate voice capabilities into their products. By building this solid technical core, you will enable the next generation of social interactions, moving from simple in-experience chat to sophisticated, persistent social presence across the entire ecosystem. Furthermore, you will empower our creator community by developing sophisticated, yet accessible APIs that allow them to build deeply immersive experiences tailored to their unique visions. You'll design these systems with safety built in from the start - holding to Roblox's safety standards as we scale. You Will Mentor and grow the engineers around you, across levels, remove roadblocks for teammates, and help build an environment where people do their best work. Help shape frontend engineering practices across the Communication team: how we build, review, and ship, beyond just your immediate pod. Act as technical lead on cross-functional initiatives, partnering with product, design, and both frontend and backend engineers. Take end-to-end ownership - drive projects from technical plan and architecture through launch, iteration, and measurable impact. Stay hands-on in the codebase. Our senior engineers actively build the platform and review code. Design systems that empower Roblox creators to unlock entirely new forms of voice communication for their users. You Have 5+ years of frontend or client engineering, building complex, user-facing UIs in close partnership with Product and Design Depth in at least one major client platform like React/Redux or React Native, or native iOS, Android, or desktop (Windows/macOS). You don't need all of them.
