Akkodis is seeking a Ruby on Rails Software Eng for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA/Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will build and enhance scalable web applications across the full stack while ensuring high performance and system reliability.

Rate Range:

$56/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Ruby on Rails Software Eng Responsibilities include: Design, develop, test, and implement scalable full-stack web applications using Ruby on Rails and modern front-end technologies. Build and maintain APIs and system integrations to support business-critical applications and services. Troubleshoot and resolve application performance, scalability, and system reliability issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business partners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors, to deliver technical solutions. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across applications, databases, and integrated systems. Create and maintain technical documentation, while supporting CI/CD processes and cloud-based deployments.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, including 6+ years of hands-on Ruby on Rails development. Strong expertise in API design and development, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React), and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience with GoLang, Java, or other high-performance programming languages, along with CI/CD tools, testing frameworks, and AWS cloud technologies.
