This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experts in mechanical engineering, material science, optical engineering, and information technology to develop and enhance both new and legacy applications. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with experience in C#, ASP.NET, WPF, APIs, and enterprise application development , who enjoys working in an Agile environment and contributing to the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Web & Applications Developer, you will: Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain web and desktop applications Support and enhance existing legacy applications and APIs Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and IT teams to deliver business-critical solutions Participate in peer programming, technical design discussions, and code reviews Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability Identify technical challenges and communicate project risks to team leads Follow established coding standards, best practices, and SDLC processes Create technical documentation and support application deployment activities Develop solutions that meet functional requirements and design specifications Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment Maintain strong working relationships across departments and stakeholders Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 4+ years of relevant experience Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for up to two years of experience per advanced degree Equivalent technical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education Strong interest in learning new technologies and expanding technical skills Experience developing applications using C#, WPF, and/or ASP.NET Experience supporting and maintaining APIs and enterprise applications Knowledge of front-end UI and middle-tier application development Experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of web services and application integrations Experience with Unit Testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and/or Behavior-Driven Design (BDD) Excellent collaboration and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Candidates with experience in the following technologies are highly encouraged to apply: ASP.NET Web API and RESTful Services Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle Database Git source control Azure DevOps Entity Framework or comparable ORM technologies jQuery or other JavaScript frameworks/libraries MVC controls and third-party UI component libraries Report development and reporting tools Manufacturing, industrial systems, or process control environments Work Environment This role requires regular on-site collaboration, with employees working on-site three or more days per week at the primary work location.
