The Shopify platform is already a critical part of the business, and now the team is looking for someone who can take day-to-day ownership of the technology, improve how it performs, and build the next generation of eCommerce functionality. You will inherit a highly customized Shopify environment supported by an experienced external agency. Rather than starting from scratch, you'll step into an existing codebase, understand how everything works, and become the internal technical owner who can move projects forward faster. This is a backend and functional development role first . You'll work closely with IT, marketing, and sales to solve business problems through technology. The role is ideal for a full-stack Shopify developer who enjoys working across development, integrations, troubleshooting, optimization, and new functionality. What You'll Do Own the day-to-day development and maintenance of the existing Shopify platform Work across Shopify themes, custom applications, backend functionality, integrations, and performance Take ownership of an established and highly customized codebase Develop new eCommerce functionality based on evolving business needs Build functionality such as customer-specific SKU-level pricing and multi-address synchronization Maintain and troubleshoot the Shopify-to-NetSuite integration through Celigo Investigate order, inventory, customer, and other data flow issues between systems Collaborate with marketing on landing pages, promotions, tracking, and other eCommerce initiatives Support sales with technical solutions that improve the customer experience Identify opportunities to improve site performance, conversion, and overall eCommerce functionality Work with the external development agency when additional support or specialized expertise is needed Wear multiple hats and contribute wherever your technical expertise can have an impact What We're Looking For Strong full-stack Shopify development experience Demonstrated experience with custom Shopify backend and app development Experience working within an existing, highly customized Shopify codebase Strong understanding of eCommerce functionality and integrations Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and data flow issues Comfortable working independently while communicating clearly with a small internal team A practical, hands-on approach to solving problems Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities beyond strictly defined development tasks Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style A genuine interest in understanding the business behind the technology Nice to Have NetSuite experience Celigo or integrator.io experience Experience with React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL eCommerce CRO or optimization experience Familiarity with analytics and tracking tools Experience implementing existing designs and working with Shopify themes
Compensation & Employment Details Base Salary:
$90,000-$110,000 per year, with some flexibility for the right candidate

Schedule:
