Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

We are seeking an experienced Elixir Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Elixir, the Phoenix Framework, distributed systems, REST APIs, and cloud-native application development.

Key Skills

Strong experience with Elixir programming language.

Hands-on experience with Phoenix Framework.

Good understanding of OTP (Open Telecom Platform), GenServer, Supervisors, and concurrency models.

Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.

Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other messaging platforms.

Good understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Primary Technologies:

Elixir, Phoenix, OTP, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

Exposure to GraphQL and Phoenix LiveView.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Elixir and Phoenix Framework.

Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-availability applications leveraging the BEAM VM.

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.

Design and implement database schemas, queries, and data models.

Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams.

Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.

Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production support activities.

Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

Salary Range:

$110,000-$120,000 a year
