Updated 08/30/2026 Job Description Job Summary Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a Windows Engineer to plan, secure, operate, integrate and maintain windows services and SQL services for Federal Government Web Site.
Duties:
System Administration:
Manage and administer Windows servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, IIS, SQL Server and applications.
Active Directory Management and Identity Management:
Administer Active Directory services, including user and group management, and ensure proper access controls and security protocols are in place.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support for Windows-based systems, troubleshoot issues, and conduct incident investigations to resolve problems efficiently.
System Upgrades and Migrations:
Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations, ensure minimal disruption to services.
Performance Monitoring:
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Windows systems, ensuring they meet organizational standards and requirements.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Implement and manage system backups and disaster recovery procedures to protect data integrity and availability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other IT teams, including network engineers and vendors, to ensure seamless integration and support for Windows systems.
Documentation:
Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Security Management:
Research and implement security settings according to industry standards and organizational policies to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
Scripting and Automation:
Develop scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency. Manage webhosting on Windows platform: Oversee the hosting environment and ensure optimal performance. Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SQL and IIS on Azure. Position Requirements:
Active Top Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree and 6 years' experience or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience and mastery of required skills without a bachelor's degree. Demonstrated skills managing a windows server environment Demonstrated skills managing SQL and IIS environment in support of Website hosting. Full-Time Salary Range:
$95106 - $161680 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
