Materials Planning Engineer - Front End US Expansion Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Join Micron's team as a Materials Planning Engineer for Front End US Expansion and contribute to our goal to bring memory manufacturing to the US! As a Materials Planning Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a dynamic team to manage spares and materials forecasts for Fab tools. You will partner with various Fab Process areas to ensure flawless forecasting and liaise with Procurement to maintain sufficient stocking levels. Your role will also involve close collaboration with cost management and finance teams to strictly adhere to budgeting and cost benchmarks. This position plays a meaningful role in identifying efficient manufacturing improvements, minimizing expenditures, and encouraging a cost-conscious culture. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate Build of Material planning models for assigned commodities or Spares PM Maintenance Plan models for assigned Fab areas.
  • Apply supply chain engineering concepts to manage forecast requirements and accuracy to prevent inventory shortages or material expiry issues that could halt production.
  • Determine actions needed for excursion control and method improvement.
  • Design and coordinate projects with several departments to continuously improve forecast accuracy with high efficiency.
  • Collaborate with research & development and process engineering to build BOM and forecast platforms using Web Portal and Database.
  • Coordinate material or parts shortage and expiry issues with relevant collaborators to prevent any impact on the company.
  • Develop reporting and automation capabilities to improve process efficiency and effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn programming languages such as Python (Panda), SQL, and/or Web App Development. Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven teamwork skills and strong multi-tasking capability.
