Job Description
Front-End Developer (React/JavaScript) — Utility Player, Contract Project We're looking for a Front-End Developer to join a specific project as a utility player — someone versatile enough to jump between tasks, fill gaps wherever needed, and take ownership of complex front-end challenges independently. This isn't a narrowly scoped role; you'll need to be adaptable, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and ready to deliver high-quality, production-ready code wherever the project needs you most. What You'll Do Serve as a flexible, go-to resource across the project — stepping in on whatever front-end work is needed, from new features to fixes to support Build and maintain complex front-end systems using JavaScript and React Translate user requirements into clean, scalable technical solutions Write, debug, and ship high-quality code independently with minimal oversight Collaborate cross-functionally with developers and stakeholders to keep projects aligned Review code for quality and adherence to best practices Understand the full technical stack and apply the right tools for the job Stay current on front-end trends and recommend new technologies/approaches to leadership Participate in agile project planning and contribute technical input Mentor junior developers as needed What You Bring 5+ years of professional web development experience Strong hands-on skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React A true utility-player mindset — comfortable moving across different parts of a codebase or project as priorities shift Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience — Associate's + 2 years, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree) Proven ability to work independently on complex technical problems Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills Comfortable working in an agile development environment Nice to Have E-commerce You're a Great Fit If You Thrive as a flexible utility player — no task is too big or too small Take ownership and work independently on technical challenges Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across teams Deliver high-quality, well-tested code under deadline pressure Enjoy solving complex problems and evaluating new tools/technologies #
