Position Overview Nexteer Automotive is seeking a creative and motivated Co-Op to support our US Communications and Engineering teams, with a focus on graphic design, web design, and coordination support for an Engineering EPS-driven event. This role offers hands-on experience working at the intersection of design, communication, and advanced automotive technology. Key Responsibilities Design and develop visual content for internal and external communications, including presentations, digital assets, and promotional materials Support updates and enhancements to internal web pages or intranet sites, ensuring content is engaging and user-friendly Collaborate with engineering and communications teams to translate technical concepts into clear, visually compelling materials Assist in planning and executing an Engineering EPS (Electric Power Steering) focused event, including: Event branding and visual identity Presentation and signage design On-site setup and coordination support Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters Up to 40 in the summer Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters Basic understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar Exposure to web design tools or platforms (e.g., HTML/CSS, WordPress, or similar) is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences Self-starter with a willingness to learn and take initiative Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship Preferred Skills Interest in automotive technology or engineering environments Experience creating presentations (e.g., PowerPoint) with strong visual storytelling Basic video editing or motion graphics experience is a plus Nexteer is an Equal Opportunity Employer Disabled/Minorities/Veterans/Women Nexteer is an E-Verify employer.
