Senior Backend Engineer#26-06600 Richfield, MN Hybrid Contract Starts 6/28/2026 Ends 12/31/2026 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer position with a Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer located in Richfield, MN. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity, requiring 1-2 days per week onsite.

Pay Rate:

$70.00-$75.00/hour This position is within the Ads organization, which builds and manages the platform used by sellers and internal teams to create, manage, and monitor advertising campaigns across the client's digital ecosystem. The project involves building and enhancing seller-facing campaign management workflows, integrating with external advertising platforms, implementing reporting and billing event pipelines, and modernizing the architecture for scalability.

Responsibilities:

Build and enhance seller-facing campaign management workflows Integrate with external advertising platforms and ad-serving systems Implement reporting, spend tracking, and billing event pipelines Improve campaign synchronization and product eligibility systems Modernize frontend and backend architecture for scalability and maintainability

Requirements:

5-8 years of backend development experience Strong Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot/WebFlux expertise Experience with microservices and

REST API

development Strong understanding of Kafka and event-driven architecture Knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, and async processing Strong SQL and PostgreSQL/MySQL performance optimization skills Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native applications Production support, monitoring, and observability experience Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Ability to independently own features/services end-to-end Good cross-teammunication and collaboration skills Experience with scalable and high-throughput systems Desired skills: Experience with AdTech, BigQuery/GCP, reactive programming, and AI-assisted development tools Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
