Proficient in Mac OS and/or IntelliJ for development Knowledge of and working experience with open-source software (e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Client etc.). Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g . Client AWS, Google Cloud) Experience in performance testing and subsequent tuning of A PIs and SQL queries DevOps infrastructure experience Groovy with Spock is desired Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Looker Studio Experience with AI coding tools like GitHub copilot Relational Database (Postgres is preferable)
  • 4 years Experience building highly scalable and performing applications (candidate understands considerations for state, session management, caching, consistency, concurrency, threading, messaging, and inter-system dependencies) Expertise in developing REST APIs using Java or Groovy and Spring, Springboot Expertise in developing event driven applications using Kafka messaging with backend relational database Postgres SQL.
Highly proficient in industry current software development techniques (patterns, principles, and processes) Strong foundation in troubleshooting issues, coming up with potential solutions to fix the issues. Candidate must be prepared to pair program in a TDD and Agile environment with senior level engineers. BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience) Tell us about your department: Marketplace marks the largest expansion ever of product assortment, while seamlessly integrating the new products from sellers across all digital experiences. Customers can now explore and shop from hundreds of new brands and added categories like seasonal decor, automotive tech, office and home, and movies and music. Our department consists of several teams supporting Marketplace aspects (e.g. shop, buy, post purchase, seller onboarding and payout). This specific role is part of Marketplace Integration Layer (MPIL) post purchase team.
Project Description:
The post purchase team builds and manages highly scalable and performant APIs and data interfaces for marketplace orders, offers, returns and payout functionality. The team follows Agile methodology to manage delivery of application features.
Position Summary/Job Description :
In this role, you will be part of a high-performance engineering team that partners with various domain teams at, to deliver innovative solutions for Marketplace. You will partner with Product Managers and Engineers to build and validate features against the requirements. You will be expected to maintain the thoroughness needed to be able to rapidly deliver functionality.
