$120,000 About OrangeAI OrangeAI is building an AI-native AMS platform for insurance agencies. The insurance industry still runs on outdated agency management systems built decades ago. OrangeAI is taking a different approach by building AI directly into the foundation of the platform rather than layering it onto legacy software. The product is being developed inside a live insurance agency environment. The founder owns and operates Harbour Insurance (built from $0 into a business valued near $20M), with 25 employees acting as the real-time testing and feedback loop for the platform. You will spend 20%+ of your time in the field with insurance agency owners. You aren't just taking orders; you are performing "Product Discovery" to find the hidden pain points in their daily workflows. Architect the

Own the end-to-end delivery engine. You'll ruthlessly prioritize the backlog to ensure we are building for long-term scalability rather than just reacting to the "urgent" request of the day.

Market & Carrier Strategy:

Navigate complex insurance industry rules (underwriting logic, rating structures, and compliance) to ensure OrangeAI remains a "must-have" tool for modern agents. Set the

You'll Be Building AI-native AMS platform purpose-built for insurance agencies Workflow automation and intelligent client management A scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform with AI-driven insights embedded Systems that automate administrative and operational tasks for insurance agents Key Responsibilities Architect and build the core platform architecture Develop backend infrastructure and application logic Design and build a multi-tenant SaaS platform Develop backend services using .NET or Java Design relational database schemas (PostgreSQL or MySQL) Build and maintain RESTful APIs Integrate AI capabilities into product workflows Collaborate directly with insurance agents to refine product functionality Establish engineering standards and development practices Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Required Qualifications Experience building production systems from scratch 3+ years of web application development experience Backend development using .NET or Java and designing scalable backend APIs Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) Understanding of scalable system design and multi-tenant architectures Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows Preferred Experience Experience working in early-stage startups or similar environments Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker or Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Experience at large consulting firms or systems integrators (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services)
