You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with developers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality digital experiences. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications using Playwright, Selenium, and other modern testing tools. Develop and execute automated test scripts for iOS applications using Swift and XCUITest, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and reliability. Collaborate with development and architecture teams to enhance testability, improve quality practices, and support technical design discussions. Perform functional, integration, and automation testing while identifying and communicating quality risks, issues, and mitigation plans. Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps initiatives by integrating automated testing solutions with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA. What you need to have to be considered 6+ years of experience in software development, software testing, or quality engineering with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Hands-on experience with Java and TypeScript programming for automation development. Experience building automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and Selenium. Strong experience in iOS mobile application testing, including automation development using Swift and XCUITest. Proven expertise in test automation scripting, debugging, functional testing, and integration testing. Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and software testing best practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate risks, issues, and recommendations effectively. These will help you stand out Experience with additional programming languages such as Python or Swift. Knowledge of design patterns and experience participating in application architecture discussions. Exposure to DevOps and cloud technologies including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Experience with performance testing and tools such as JMeter. Self-motivated and proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
