Job Description

Job Description Summary Note:
This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 50% of the total number of business days in a given month in the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future. Job Description The Senior Engineer will analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and support application development centered around Oracle Database and PL/SQL. This role may participate in multiple phases of the systems development lifecycle and will be responsible for design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of core database applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze system requirements and define interactions between components. Recommend approaches for new development or reuse of existing code. Lead small to medium projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress. Identify and recommend new technologies and methodologies. Evaluate reporting, cost, security, and infrastructure needs. Participate in testing, validation, and documentation activities. Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot programming issues. Write and review system specifications and technical documentation. Contribute to project planning and execution. Review test results and document corrective actions. Ensure strong root‑cause analysis and reduce rework/schedule impacts. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education/Previous Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of application development experience, with strong emphasis on Oracle Database and PL/SQL. Financial services industry experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Knowledge:
Oracle, PL/SQL REST APIs, Java, Data Structures UI/UX exposure is a bonus
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with: Stored Procedures, Functions, PL/SQL ETL & data streaming concepts Reporting and backend application development Oracle & MS SQL Databases Java 11, REST/SOAP APIs Familiarity with: CI/CD, Jenkins, DevOps Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate Angular, JavaScript, CSS ORM experience and banking/financial domain exposure strongly preferred. Ability to support application development teams and document business processes.
Ability to:
Solve complex problems independently with strong analytical thinking. Make sound recommendations based on data and system analysis. Communicate clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Build collaborative relationships and maintain client focus. Stay current with industry and technology trends. Work occasional non‑standard hours, including nights/weekends/on‑call.
