This is a Day 1 Onsite position in Phoenix, AZ . Candidates must be available to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week . We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Distributed Systems, Kafka, and REST APIs. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services for digital banking platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable Java microservices and REST APIs. Build distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka. Develop reliable and high-performance backend services. Implement fault tolerance, resiliency, caching, and high-availability solutions. Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews. Support CI/CD, automated testing, and production readiness. Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and operations teams. Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance. Required Skills 8+ years of software development experience. Strong Java and Spring Boot experience. Hands-on experience with Microservices and Distributed Systems. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and integration patterns. Strong experience with Kafka / Kafka Streams. Experience with Spring Batch, JUnit, JDBC, Maven/Gradle. Experience with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD. Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL databases. Experience with Docker and cloud/platform environments. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
