We develop peer-reviewed, evidence-based content and deliver it through print, digital, and multichannel solutions that help healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry partners stay informed on the latest treatments and medical advancements. Our core areas of focus include dermatology, oncology, neuroscience, and bariatric and obesity medicine, and we support clients across many other disease states and disciplines of medicine. Position Summary Matrix is looking for a Website Developer to build and continually improve the websites that carry our medical education content to healthcare professionals. This role combines hands-on development work with SEO and digital advertising expertise and is well suited to someone who has worked on a content-heavy publishing or media site before and understands how a large site's performance and discoverability affect its ability to generate ad revenue. What You'll Do Build and maintain WordPress sites that host a growing library of medical education content, extending them with new features as needs evolve. Implement technical and on-page SEO practices across site architecture, templates, and content markup to improve visibility and organic reach. Manage ad tech integrations and tags, and tune page performance to protect both ad viewability and page speed. Work with editorial, design, and marketing colleagues to turn content plans and campaign requirements into working pages and features. Monitor and troubleshoot site performance, uptime, and security across a high-traffic publishing environment. Maintain and extend custom WordPress plugins, themes, and third-party integrations. What You'll Bring Four or more years of hands-on experience building and maintaining WordPress websites. Practical experience implementing SEO, including technical SEO, on-page optimization, and structured data. Experience working with ad tech platforms and ad serving tools (Ad Butler, Google Ad Manager). Working proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Comfort managing multiple projects independently and coordinating with non-technical stakeholders. Preferred, Not Required Experience supporting a publishing, media, or content-heavy website with a large content library. Familiarity with healthcare, medical, or scientific content environments. Experience with page speed optimization and Core Web Vitals on high-traffic sites. Compensation & Schedule Salary range: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
