Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Web Methods Developer for a 100% remote contract position with a Major Utility Company located in Akron, OH. This is a 16+ month contract opportunity.
Please note: The remote location for this position cannot be in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, or Washington at this time.
Compensation:
$60.00 - $83.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This role focuses on designing, developing, and testingplex integrations and web services using the WebMethods suite of tools. The successful candidate will manage data transfers between internal and external applications, including enterprise platforms such as SAP, Azure, and Oracle, and will work collaboratively with both IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and testplex integrations and web services using the WebMethods suite of tools
Develop and support WebMethods integrations and web services for data transfer between internal and external applications and platforms
Proactively gather requirements for integrations between enterprise platforms like SAP, Azure, and Oracle
Develop and maintain documentation to support integrations for team use and training
Leverage WebMethods Designer to support development and resolve production break/fix issues
Actively participate in a collaborative work environment across both IT and the business
Frequently interact with business owners/stakeholders to gather requirements for new development projects and assist in defect resolution
Primary Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or a related degree
3+ years of experience consistently working on WebMethods development projects/tasks
Good experience and knowledge in WebMethods Coreponents (Integration Server 10.4, Universal Messaging, Trading Networks)
Knowledge of REST and SOAP services
Proven experience using the WebMethods SAP adapter, JDBC adapter, and file transfer protocols (SFTP)
Solid web service interface design skills with in-depth knowledge of XML, XSD, and WSDL
Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a production support environment
Skilled in both oral and writtenmunications to contribute to meetings, capture requirements, and write documentation
Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects and an aptitude to learn quickly
Proven team player who contributes to team goals and supports team members
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and be available for on-call and after-hours support if needed
Desired Skills:
Working experience administering/supporting an enterprise WebMethods landscape, including installation and performance tuning
Experience with ITIL processes (ServiceNow) such as Change Management, Incident, Interaction, etc.
