Junior Frontend Developer

Compass Insurance Advisors specializes in helping Individuals, Families, Self-Employed professionals, and Businesses find the best solutions for Health, Medicare, Group, Life, and Supplemental insurance. We are seeking a full-time Junior Front-End Developer to join our team and assist in building and maintaining our web applications. This is an entry-level role, perfect for a recent graduate or someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional development environment.

Basic Duties:

Assist in developing and maintaining front-end features for internal and client-facing web applications. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap . Work with frameworks like React to build interactive user interfaces. Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate REST APIs and data from MySQL ,React, Laravel and Node.js . Maintain and enhance existing PHP -based applications. Debug and troubleshoot UI/UX issues to improve performance and usability. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

Recent graduate (or self-taught with strong portfolio) in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.

Basic understanding of:

HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap React (or other modern JavaScript frameworks) Laravel (or other modern PHP frameworks) PHP & MySQL Node.js REST APIs Familiarity with Git for version control. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Good communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus:

Experience or familiarity with: AWS Cloud services (S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.). Cloud Worker Processes (e.g., AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, or similar serverless background task handling).
