Duties Develop and implement RESTful and SOAP web services to enable communication between diverse applications and systems. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components with backend services using frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js. Design and optimize database schemas using SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB to support application data needs. Utilize ASP.NET (including ASP.NET Core), WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), and microservices architecture to build scalable solutions. Write clean, efficient code using C#, Python, Java, or Ruby on Rails while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices. Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables; utilize tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, GitHub, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and SVN for version control. Implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps or similar platforms. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups, to deliver iterative improvements rapidly. Design APIs following UML diagrams and document them thoroughly for ease of use by internal teams and third-party developers. Ensure application security by integrating authentication protocols like OAuth2 and implementing best practices for data protection. Qualifications Proven experience in web development with a strong understanding of web services including RESTful APIs and SOAP protocols. Proficiency in ASP.NET (including ASP.NET Core), WCF, Node.js, Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and XSLT. Hands-on experience with database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar databases; knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile and SDLC principles. Experience with version control systems like GitHub or Git; familiarity with TFS or SVN is advantageous. Skills in multithreading, debugging complex issues, and optimizing application performance are essential. Ability to work effectively across teams using UML diagrams for system design and documentation. Knowledge of microservices architecture, API management (RESTful API), XML/JSON data formats, Linux environments, shell scripting (Bash), and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies such as Python or Ruby on Rails as needed.
