Senior Web Application Developer, UI/UXJob Post SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Web Application Developer specializing in UI/UX to design intuitive, accessible, and user focused web applications within a secure federal environment. This role combines user research, requirements analysis, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, and web application design. Candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years using Figma and Angular for UI/UX design and development. Experience with government Section 508 compliance and an active Top Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility are required.

- Conduct stakeholder interviews and gather user requirements to understand business and user needs.
- Perform user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, and usability testing.
- Design user interfaces, information architecture, and interaction workflows for web based applications.
- Lead participatory and iterative design activities, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and requirements discovery.
- Develop user requirements specifications, experience goals, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
- Design and develop web application interfaces using Figma and Angular.
- Create proof of concepts and prototypes for intuitive, easy to navigate user interfaces.
- Design web pages incorporating graphics, icons, layouts, and other visual elements.
- Research user needs and identify opportunities for system and user experience improvements.
- Plan, recruit for, and facilitate usability testing activities.
- Analyze and synthesize usability testing results and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Communicate research findings, design concepts, recommendations, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
- Facilitate collaborative design critiques, analysis sessions, and working sessions.
- Work closely with visual designers and development teams to ensure customer requirements and design specifications are successfully implemented.
- Support coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation of web applications as needed.
- Design solutions that meet government Section 508 accessibility requirements and applicable policies.
- 8 or more years of relevant web application development, UI/UX, or related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Figma and Angular to design and build UI/UX solutions.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility required.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and user requirements analysis.
- Experience with interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Experience creating personas, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications.
- Experience designing and developing web based user interfaces.
- Experience and understanding of achieving government Section 508 compliance while adhering to applicable regulations and policies.
- Ability to effectively communicate design concepts, research findings, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with development teams and visual designers.
