We're looking for talented System Development Engineers to join one of the most impactful and fastest-growing teams at Amazon. You'll be working on the payment infrastructure that powers Amazon.com, Kindle, and AWS — systems that process tens of billions of dollars annually for over 100 million customers and merchants worldwide. What you'll contribute: Keep Tier-1 payment services running with accuracy, speed, and high availability Investigate and resolve issues that directly impact customer experience across numerous countries and payment methods Collaborate with engineering teams to drive improvements that scale globally Be part of building the next generation of online payment systems Why join us?   • Develop infrastructure-as-code software to stand-up large distributed services
  • Design fault tolerance and disaster recovery solutions
  • Identify and remove scaling bottlenecks in large-scale distributed systems
  • Work with other engineers to build and manage massively scaled services
  • Work with other engineers to diagnose and resolve customer issues
  • Understand and implement security and operational best-practices Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
