We're looking for a self-starting, tech-savvy Office Administrator with online hustle to join our crew at Laken Water Sports. You'll be the go-to person for keeping things flowing smoothly in the office and online.
Think:
Craigslist ninja meets front desk captain. You'll help us post and manage boat listings , reach out to private sellers for consignment opportunities, and keep our digital storefront sharp and effective . You should love computers, keyboard shortcuts, online platforms, and be comfortable toggling between digital tools and real-world office needs (like filing or answering phones). If your idea of fun is getting creative with ChatGPT to write awesome boat listings, managing dozens of online posts without breaking a sweat, and talking with sellers about why Laken is the best place to consign their boat—this job might just be your dream lake day.
What You'll Do:
Post boats for sale on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Boat Trader, and other platforms Use ChatGPT (and your own flair) to create compelling and accurate listings fast Conduct outreach to boat owners and pitch them on consigning with us Answer phones and help customers or consignors in a friendly, professional way File paperwork and help maintain a clean, efficient office environment Keep tabs on what listings need updating, flag what needs attention, and help keep sales moving Stay ahead of online trends for where and how to list boats
You Are:
A computer person —your happy place is behind a keyboard, with 10 browser tabs open Fast and fluent with tech—keyboard shortcuts, web platforms, AI tools like ChatGPT Comfortable talking to strangers and confident in your communication (written and spoken) Someone who loves checklists and likes to "own" your work without being micromanaged Not afraid of learning new systems and platforms—figure-it-out energy is key Able to juggle multiple tasks while staying organized
Bonus Points For:
Experience in boat sales, RV, auto, or powersports a plus but not required Strong written skills and ability to write snappy, professional posts Familiarity with consignment sales or dealership operations
