Minimum Wage (currently $16.94/hour) Position Overview We are looking for twelve (12) detail-oriented and reliable high school students to serve as Student Webmasters. In this role, you will help keep our schools' online presence fresh, accurate, and engaging. Using the Apptegy platform, you will manage digital content, update news feeds, and ensure our community has access to the latest school information. No coding experience is required! You will use a simple drag-and-drop interface and receive comprehensive training on web accessibility and content management. All content will be reviewed and approved by the Director of Instructional Technology or the District Webmaster before going live. Key Responsibilities Use the Apptegy drag-and-drop platform to update and maintain the school's "Live Feed" and "News" sections with the latest announcements. Regularly review school webpages to ensure all information, dates, and links are accurate and up-to-date. Coordinate with school secretaries, principals, and staff to gather, verify, and update information for the website. Prepare visual content for the web, which includes resizing photos, creating basic graphics, and embedding videos to accompany posts. Apply district-provided training to ensure all website updates meet ADA compliance standards (e.g., adding descriptive Alt-text to images). Qualifications & Skills Must be a junior or senior currently enrolled at Bunnell or Stratford High School. Strong attention to detail with an eye for spotting typos or outdated information. Excellent written communication and professional collaboration skills. Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to manage time effectively in a remote/flexible work environment. Basic digital literacy and a willingness to learn new software platforms (prior experience with graphic design tools like Canva is a plus, but not required). Must be able to attend up to four (4) hours of summer training both virtually and in-person. What You Will Learn Hands-on experience using a professional Content Management System (Apptegy/Thrillshare). Real-world training in web accessibility and ADA compliance. Professional communication and digital content strategy skills to add to your resume or college applications.
