  • Hybrid Remote (2 days on-site, which must include Monday) Jones Networking is recruiting for a Manager of Web Operations to join an Association in NW Washington, DC.

Web Operations Manager Position Summary:
  • Manage the daily operations and construct, maintain, and update the Association's websites and web applications.
  • Monitor site performance, uptime and speed; troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with IT, Association departments, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless functionality and implement improvements in site functionality, architecture, security, navigation and design.
  • Maintain internal site-architecture, file-naming, and file-preparation conventions and procedures that provide consistency in a collaborative environment with respect to fileservers and SharePoint.
  • Provide metrics to assist with assessing user trends, preferences and click rates.
  • Oversee content updates, publishing workflows and CMS governance (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore).
  • Work with staff and vendors to develop, maintain, test, and enhance secure, effective, and reliable e-commerce functions, including online dues payment, event registration, and publication ordering.
  • Design, code, test, and improve the appearance and functionality of other HTML e-mail messages as needed.
  • Optimize and post multimedia content.
  • Lead web-related projects including redesigns, migrations, and feature rollouts.
  • Ensure website compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), privacy. regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and security best practices.
  • Administer and optimize SQL databases (MySQL/MariaDB or equivalent).
  • Conduct routine vulnerability scans and remediation.
Qualifications Summary:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or related field is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in web operations, digital project management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms, HTML/CSS, PHP, WordPress and basic JavaScript.
  • Experience and expertise in working with an SQL database web interface.
  • Familiarity with web hosting, DNS, CDN, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Asana / Kanban experience is a plus.
  • AI Chatbot experience desired.
  • Solid understanding of web design principles.
  • Strong interest in usability issues and in enhancing the user experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining members-only sites or other restricted-access web material.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Experience with A/B testing and personalization platforms.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in coding, including but not limited to WordPress, Drupal, Lyris, CSS, Flash, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.
