Job Locations US Category Information Technology Type Regular Full-Time Overview DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Linux/Web Server Administrator to manage and support Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, NGINX, and RHEL environments. The role requires strong expertise in web server configuration, reverse proxying, SSL/TLS, load balancing, Linux administration, and application troubleshooting. Responsibilities include maintaining production systems, resolving complex performance and connectivity issues, and supporting security hardening and vulnerability remediation. Experience with DISA STIGs, DoD RMF requirements, and Bash scripting is highly valued. These positions are fully remote. Duties & Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, patch, and troubleshoot Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, and NGINX on Linux.

Configure and support reverse proxies, virtual hosts, load balancing, SSL/TLS, redirects, and application routing.

Troubleshoot web and application issues across Linux, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, firewalls, certificates, and backend connectivity.

Perform performance tuning and root-cause analysis using server, application, and JVM logs.

Administer RHEL systems, including services, permissions, networking, packages, logging, and security hardening.

Support production environments and participate in an on-call rotation. Qualifications Clearance Requirement Must hold an active Top Secret clearance Education (Required) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, DevOps Engineering, or a related field. Experience (Required) Minimum of 5 years of Linux, web server, or application server administration experience.

Strong hands-on experience with Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, and NGINX.

Strong knowledge of reverse proxying, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and web server configuration.

Experience troubleshooting Tomcat/JVM, Apache, NGINX, Linux, and network connectivity issues.

Strong RHEL/Linux command-line and system administration skills.

Experience with DISA STIG, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.

Experience with Bash scripting and automation is preferred. Certifications CompTIA Security+ certification required.
