JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Web Software Developer to support the DEA developing develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the web-site. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications. Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is required. Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and SQL Server, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML, DBMS's (ex. - Oracle, Sybase, etc.). After an initial 30-day onboarding period onsite, this role transitions to a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) . Responsibilities Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications Design creative prototypes according to specifications Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines Perform unit and integration testing before launch Conduct functional and non-functional testing Troubleshoot and debug applications Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features. Assist in the monitoring and diagnosis of performance problems. Familiarity but functional application knowledge and experience with the MS Access database and Microsoft SQL Qualifications
REQUIRED
Contractor shall have a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, or Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience, developing/administering in SharePoint, Visual Basic and SQL environments. Candidate should have experience with

, JavaScript Git and GitHub, HTTP and REST, Web architecture, Basic design skills, Database storage, NPM, Adobe Cold Fusion Microsoft SharePoint Minimum of an active Secret clearance Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills
DESIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field Experience working in a Federal IT environment Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell) Experience supporting system hardening and compliance initiatives
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
