Eagle View Community Health System Position Description Teen Center Engagement Assistant / Support Staff Position Summary The Teen Center Engagement Assistant / Support Staff plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for middle and high school youth participating in Teen Center programs and activities. This position supports teen development through positive relationship-building, supervision, activity participation, and assistance with daily operations of the Teen Center. Wage Range $16.00 - $22.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. Benefits Generous PTO, Holidays, Sick Time, Personal Days. Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, $25,000 Life Insurance at no cost ,3% Retirement Match, Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with daily programs, activities, and events that support positive youth development and Teen Center outcomes. Build positive and professional relationships with teens while encouraging participation, respect, and appropriate behavior. Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants. Supervise teen activities and assist in ensuring proper conduct and safety during Teen Center hours. Participate in required staff trainings, including but not limited to: Guidance and support techniques Mandatory reporting requirements Safety procedures Outcome and activity reporting Assist with special events, community outreach activities, and fundraising initiatives. Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians and supervisors regarding attendance, behavior concerns, and participant needs. Support overall Teen Center operations by: Participating in staff meetings Assisting with behavior management Preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies Maintaining clean and organized activity areas Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and positive leadership at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Teen Center Coordinator or leadership team. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Skills and Abilities Ability to work effectively with middle school and high school-aged youth. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and engaging atmosphere. Ability to work collaboratively with Teen Center staff and leadership. Basic knowledge of safety procedures and first aid practices are preferred. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain appropriate boundaries with participants. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to: Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and move throughout the facility Use hands and arms to handle objects and equipment Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds or more Operate a motor vehicle when necessary Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
