Teen Late Night Program Coordinator- Seasonal
REPORTS TO
Teen Late Night Manager SALARY:
$31.00/hourHOURS:
Seasonal- .75 FTE
- Up to 35 Hours Weekly Please note this is a seasonal position with employment from June 2026
- September 2026.
LOCATION
Tacoma, WA- Multiple Sites As a Teen Late Night Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing one Teen Late Night Location. Position openings are at the following locations:

Our Teen Outreach Program engages teens in Tacoma and neighboring communities through activities and programs in a safe, inclusive environment. Our program provides intentional and empowering experiences that strengthen relationships, build social-emotional skills, and drive personal growth and development. As a Teen Late Night Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing one Teen Late Night Location. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, maintaining data, overseeing site operations, and supervising staff. This role supervises Teen Late Night Leads to ensure daily schedules and operations are maintained. Coordinators will oversee and support high-level site needs, including planning, organizing, and maintaining the BGCSPS policies and procedures.FUNCTION/TASKS
- Assist in planning part-time staff interviews, events, trainings, and meetings.
- Collect and maintain registrations, attendance, and all necessary data to report to the collaborative.
- Responsible for facilities as well as safety drills, with guidance provided by the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with other Teen Late Night Coordinators to develop creative recruitment and engagement plans that will support site leads.
- Provide coaching, ideas, and recognition, using resources to support leads in engaging and recruiting teens.
- Perform observations and safety checks of program areas throughout the night to review and maintain best practices during daily staff huddles.
- Provide assistance and follow BGCSPS policy in relation to addressing any staff, volunteer, or teen's behavior.
- Hold Staff accountable and immediately report any misconduct or concerns to the Supervisor.
- Keep the supervisor informed of program successes and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent (preferred).
- One to two years of related experience as a coordinator of people or activities (preferred).
- Ability to use computers and typical business software and office machines.
- Positive attitude and previous experience with teens and diverse populations.
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, and file maintenance.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
- Food Handler's Card preferred; can be obtained on the job.
- Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on the first day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
To keep our staff safe we adhere to the CDC safety guidelines and remain in close communication with local health departments, program partners and local School Districts to work together to serve our youth in the safest way we can. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. High energy level; comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility; good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, being active and on your feet for a minimum of four hours; adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment; other duties as assigned.Environment of the position:
