Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)- Part-Time MindCare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team on a Part-Time basis. The ideal candidate will excel in both acute and chronic psychiatric care, delivering high quality mental health services to patients in various settings. This role involves rounding in one hospital, conducting Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient (IP) consults, and collaborating with members of the collaborative care team.Schedule :

negotiableDuties/Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for BHU/Med Surg patients. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top-tier Psychiatric care for residents, including the Collaborating Psychiatrist, Mental Health Professionals, and HUB Coordinators. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary Conduct daily rounds in one designated hospital, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the healthcare team. Respond promptly to consult requests from the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, offering expert psychiatric assessments and recommendations Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects Implement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditions The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Offers education and support to residents and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options Promote mental health awareness and wellness among residents Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes Participate in one weekend shift per month and additional on-call shifts as needed, providing emergency psychiatric care and consultationQualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in TX Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Minimum of 1-year clinical experience as a PMHNP, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred) Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) in TX Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Apply now Clinical Fort Worth, TX Share on: Apply nowSimilar remote jobs
