Job Summary:
Responsible for the operation and supervision of the child nutrition warehouse and report to CNP director and foods purchaser. Coordinates the deliveries of food to child nutrition sites, ensuring their proper temperatures are maintained. Loads and unloads delivery trucks with the ability to operate a forklift. Prioritizes orders being pulled for the deliveries to school sites. Drives delivery trucks with required license endorsements, when necessary, in a safe manner. Does minor maintenance and checks trucks for safe operation. Does maintenance at schools in the cafeteria. Required education, training, and experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to read and write in English and follow written and oral instructions. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the State of North Carolina. Must be able to operate a truck with air brakes and any required licensing and/or certification needed will be required to obtain within a reasonable length of time. Ability to lift 60 pounds and follow safety precautions to avoid injuries of minor cuts, falls, bruises and sprains.Essential duties and responsibilities:
Frequently lift up to fifty (50) pounds alone and one hundred (100) pounds with assistance. Occasionally work from ladders or scaffolding at heights over ten (10) feet. Sit, stand and walk for required periods of time. Reach with hands and arms, use hands and fingers to handle objects, and operate tools, computers, and controls.Evaluation:
The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the board's policy on the evaluation of support personnel.Physical Environment:

Extreme mental and physical demands and environmental factors including: Continuous walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting 50 lb-100 lb and carrying of compressors, extension ladders, motors, equipment, and tools to and from rooftops and basements. Must be able to work in tiring and uncomfortable positions outside and inside including exposure to extreme weather conditions. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to balance or climb.Work Environment:

The child nutrition warehouse is a cold storage facility with temperatures ranging from -5 to 90 degrees. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
