Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Student Union Facilities and Event Services Job Summary The Temporary employee will support the Student Union Facilities and Event Services (SUFES) as a Audio Visual Assistant on the Statesboro Campus. The Audio Visual Assistant will serve as a liaison for the Audio Visual Coordinator for audio visual service, audio design and production area of Student Union Facilities and Event Services (SUFES). They attend weekly event briefings where they are involved in the planning of event audio visual details and implementation, and supervise audio visual production before, during, and after events. They serve as the audio visual student assistants main point of contact and work efficiently and effectively to best serve the audio visual needs of SUFES customers. Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Provides inventory, assembly, operations, and disassembly of audiovisual equipment, as well as assists in audio design, implementation, and execution for events in the Russell Union, Nessmith-Lane Center, Williams Center, and around campus as needed Monitors the inventory of all sound, lighting, and visual equipment Provides consistent and high level of customer service to all customers and guests Reads/reviews daily operations report and implement the required setups for daily events in the Russell Union, Nessmith-Lane Center, Williams Center, and associated facilities Setup and takedown sound and video equipment associated with events Completes required event/program documentation Maintains cleanliness and order of all equipment in all storage rooms Assists with custodial as needed Maintains a safe and clean work environment Attends staff meetings as needed Shift Specifics 15 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, finals week, and during academic interim and break period as needed Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Prior experience with sound design as well as setting up and operating professional audio/visual equipment Proposed Salary $15.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
