Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Racquet Sports Supervisor provides tennis instruction to participants. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service. Report directly to the Racquet Sports Supervisor. Keep accurate records on all classes. Responsible for all supplies issued by the Park District. Conduct a safe and educational program. Develop a lesson plan for the programs. Keep Racquet Sports Supervisor informed of progress of students. Be cooperative and develop a good relationship with the public. Solicit comments, suggestions and recommendations from the students and relay them accordingly. Attend educational seminars to upgrade teaching knowledge and skill. Assist in promoting all Park District programs. Enforce all rules and regulations within the club as set forth by the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District board in a tactful manner. Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual, Policy and Procedures Handbook and Employee Manual. Other related job duties as assigned.
COGNITIVE SKILLS REQUIRED
Positive approach.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Be at least 18 years of age. Possess a complete knowledge of the game of tennis and have the ability to demonstrate all related strokes and strategy.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
CPR/AED Certified. Knowledge of USTA Rules.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate willingness to become certified Pro.
