Part-time schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed About Us Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club (LWRG&CC) is an award-winning, private club located in the nation's best-selling, multi-generational community of Lakewood Ranch. Since 2001, LWRG&CC has served as a social and recreational retreat that offers a casual club culture and community lifestyle for the entire family, revolving around an array of extraordinary amenities including golf, tennis, fitness/wellness center, pools, pickleball, and several dining and entertainment options. LWRG&CC is owned and operated by Heritage Golf Group, a growing boutique owner-operator of upscale private country clubs. Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-service oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Tennis Pro Shop Desk Attendant, with the potential to transition into a full-time role. The Desk Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests, assists with court reservations, manages retail transactions, and supports daily tennis operations. You will manage shop operations, handle court and lesson reservations, assist with retail sales, and help maintain an inviting and professional environment at the Pro Shop and tennis facilities. Key Responsibilities Greet all members, guests, and players as they enter the Tennis Pro Shop and check them in for court play, lessons, or events. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about court availability, lessons, clinics, and club events; take/reserve bookings for courts, lessons, clinics, and tournaments. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process retail transactions (apparel, racquets, accessories), lesson or clinic fees, and memberships. Assist Pro Shop manager to maintain retail displays: restock, organize, fold apparel, and ensure merchandise is clean, and appealing.
Assist with inventory management:
receive new merchandise, tag items, perform periodic stock counts, follow up on special orders, and manage returns/exchanges. Perform daily opening and closing duties for the Pro Shop — including balancing the register, tidying the shop, completing checklists, and securing the facility if required. Support tennis operations; help coordinate lessons, clinics, leagues or tournaments; assist with scheduling; keep abreast of club tennis programs, events and policies. Maintain cleanliness and order, in the Pro Shop, check-in area, and common tennis facility areas (e.g. towel or water stations, ball machines, court-side amenities). Provide excellent customer service, treat members and guests with friendliness, professionalism, and respect; strive to meet and anticipate their needs. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or club environment is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be friendly, professional, and able to interact well with members, guests, and staff. Comfortable using computers, phone systems, and POS or club-management software to process reservations and sales. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, including willingness to work weekends and holidays. Knowledge of tennis (equipment, terminology, court and product basics) is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift. Must be able to lift and carry merchandise or tennis gear (up to ~25 lbs).
