Job Description

School Bus Terminal Manager Lamers Bus Lines, a trusted name in transportation since 1944, is actively seeking a School Bus Terminal Manager to oversee daily operations at our school bus terminal. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to join a stable, family-focused company and make an impact in your local community. This position is ideal for candidates with prior transportation management experience and a valid CDL license (or willingness to obtain one). Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily operations including office staff, drivers, and mechanics. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and driver file maintenance for DOT compliance. Manage and schedule charter and school bus bookings. Maintain fleet condition, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and ensure equipment safety. Develop customer relationships and drive new business opportunities. Monitor customer billing and payment collections. Occasionally assist with driving. Coordinate building and grounds maintenance as needed.
Job Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or minimum 2 years of relevant transportation industry experience. Prior experience in school bus operations is a plus. Valid CDL (Class B or higher) with school bus and passenger endorsements or willingness to obtain - training provided. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic office software; ability to learn internal systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
