Terminal Operational Supervisor

Terminal Operational Supervisor KC Logistics - Buffalo, WV Position Overview KC Logistics is seeking a highly motivated Terminal Operational Supervisor to serve as the second-in-command to the Terminal Manager (TM). This role is critical to ensuring seamless, 24/7 operational continuity of the terminal. The ideal candidate will take ownership of daily operations, master all aspects of the terminal environment, and confidently step into full leadership responsibilities when the Terminal Manager is off-site.

Saturdays as needed (rotating with Terminal Manager) Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership & Dispatch Oversight Oversee all functions of the Dispatch Operations Team Manage scheduling, workflow, and task delegation Assume full leadership authority in the absence of the Terminal Manager 2. Technical Systems Mastery Maintain full operational command of dispatch software (McLeod) Ensure compliance with HOS (Hours of Service) regulations using Omnitracs Manage payroll processes for drivers and operations staff Utilize and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed 3. Performance & KPI Management Monitor and maintain partner performance standards, including: Ford M.E.L Toyota Direct KPIs Amazon App utilization Ensure accuracy of key operational metrics: On-Time Delivery Out-of-Service (OOS) rates Toyota App performance percentages Handle end-of-month reporting, payroll processing, and safety-related matters Support oversight of the terminal's driver fleet 4. Operations & Logistics Coordinate and optimize routing for both Over-the-Road (OTR) and local freight Maintain full accountability for trailer and tractor inventory Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and manage external platforms Qualifications Proven experience in automotive transportation and terminal operations Strong proficiency with logistics systems such as McLeod, Omnitracs, Samsara, and Stars Demonstrated leadership ability in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to improve processes High level of schedule flexibility What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who thrives in operational environments Someone who takes initiative and ownership of results A team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills Why Join KC Logistics?
