Position Overview The Test Engineer plays a critical role in supporting product quality and performance by designing, executing, and maintaining testing strategies for electromechanical, electrical, and connected (IoT) devices. This position is ideal for someone with a background in Electronics or Applied Engineering who has hands-on experience working with embedded systems and closed-loop control environments. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and practical, hands-on problem-solving. Core Responsibilities- Develop and refine test methodologies throughout the product development lifecycle
- Build detailed test plans that align with functional and performance requirements
- Collect, interpret, and analyze test data to drive product enhancements and reliability improvements
- Design and maintain automated test systems and electromechanical fixtures
- Conduct environmental and stress testing, including temperature, humidity, vibration, and EMC evaluations
- Perform validation and verification testing across hardware and software components
- Troubleshoot at the component level, including PCB modifications and solder rework when necessary
- Assist with pre-compliance testing efforts (e.g., CE, UL, CSA standards)
- Share insights and findings with cross-functional engineering teams to inform design decisions
- Manage coordination with third-party labs and evaluate external test results
- Uphold lab organization, safety protocols, and operational standards Required Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret electrical schematics and circuit designs
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working with technical documentation and engineering specifications
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and design files
- Hands-on experience with PCB-level work, including modifications and testing
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive tasks forward
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams Additional Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem solving
