Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Automotive AI Software Test Engineer to design, develop, and lead testing strategies for AI-driven automotive software systems for a Global Automotive Company in Raymond, OH. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of intelligent vehicle technologies through rigorous validation methodologies, advanced test automation, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in automotive software testing, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with industry-standard automotive testing tools and frameworks. Key Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for AI-enabled automotive software systems Lead validation and verification activities for vehicle software functionality, performance, and safety Develop and maintain automated test scripts and diagnostic tools using JavaScript, Python, and CAPL Execute software integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing activities Utilize automotive testing and measurement tools including dSPACE, CANoe, CANape, DIVA, and Open Test Analyze test coverage, defect metrics, and validation results to drive continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with software development, systems engineering, validation, and quality teams Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect resolution in complex automotive environments Contribute to process improvements and best practices related to automotive software quality and AI system validation Coordinate testing activities across multidisciplinary teams while ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of experience in automotive software testing and validation Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field Strong understanding of automotive software development and testing lifecycles Hands-on experience with automotive testing and measurement tools such as: dSPACE, CANoe, CANape, DIVA, Open Test Proficiency in scripting and automation using: JavaScript, Python, CAPL Basic understanding of data pipelines and analytics tools used in automotive software validation Knowledge of test coverage analysis, defect tracking, and quality metrics Experience supporting software validation in embedded or AI-driven vehicle systems environments Preferred Qualifications ISTQB and/or IREB certification preferred Experience with intelligent vehicle technologies, ADAS, or AI-based automotive systems Familiarity with automotive communication protocols and diagnostic systems Soft Skills and Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Demonstrated innovation and analytical problem-solving capabilities Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across organizations Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
