The UPS Store - Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail, with the ability to upsell products and maintain an organized store environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability. Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with inquiries regarding pricing and promotions. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. Assist in training new staff members, sharing knowledge of best practices in retail operations. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or customer service. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Experience with POS systems. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership roles within the team. A genuine interest in providing outstanding customer service is essential. Must obtain New York State Notary license within 3 months of start date
