Job Description
Overview Join a dynamic and compassionate team as a Therapist specializing in detox and residential behavioral health settings. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and addiction counseling to individuals seeking recovery, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a supportive environment. Your expertise will help clients navigate their journey toward wellness through evidence-based therapies, crisis intervention, and personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual treatment needs. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Implement crisis management strategies to ensure patient safety during acute episodes or emergencies. Facilitate addiction counseling and relapse prevention planning tailored to each client's recovery goals. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and HIPAA-compliant records, utilizing appropriate medical terminology and coding (ICD-9/10). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust personalized care plans that incorporate case management and community resources. Engage in ongoing research and data collection to monitor treatment outcomes and improve clinical practices. Requirements Valid licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor). Proven experience in detoxification programs, residential treatment settings, or hospital environments with a focus on behavioral health or addiction medicine. Strong skills in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, social work, and behavioral management techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and HIPAA regulations. Experience conducting intake assessments, patient care planning, and diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions such as PTSD or substance use disorders. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while managing multiple cases with attention to detail and compliance standards.
