Tier I Billing Specialist

An Independent established healthcare company with over two decades in business, is seeking a Billing Specialist (Tier 1) to join our growing team. This role as an entry level biller is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding and comprehension in medical billing basics including but not limited to, insurance authorizations, eligibility verification, EOCs, and the collections process.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage. Process authorizations for services. Perform data entry of charges and patient information. Assist with estimated costs for services and collect payment from patients relating to the EOC Assist with general billing inquiries and support the billing department.

Qualifications:

2+ year of medical billing or healthcare office experience Knowledge of insurance eligibility and authorization processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
