Job Description

Job Summary The School District of Lomira is a rural School District located twenty miles south of Fond du Lac, WI. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated caregiver to join our newly opened Child Care Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning in areas such as math, language, and social skills. Provide individualized attention to each child, catering to their unique needs and learning styles. Utilize Montessori methods to encourage independence and self-directed learning among toddlers. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies to promote good conduct. Observe and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, documenting their growth regularly. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive educational experience for all students. Requirements Proven experience in childcare or teaching roles, particularly with infants and toddlers. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and best practices in early education. Experience with lesson planning and implementing educational activities tailored to children's needs. Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
