We're looking for a Tool & Die Specialist to join our dynamic stamping team—someone who takes pride in solving complex challenges, optimizing processes, and supporting a culture of excellence. About the Role As a Tool & Die Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving stamping operations. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, refine tooling, and ensure production quality and efficiency. What You'll Do Troubleshoot and resolve stamping process issues related to dies, materials, and process controls Set up and adjust equipment, including machine parameters, to ensure optimal performance Perform bench work such as deburring, polishing, and finishing tooling components Repair and modify dies using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools Manufacture, modify, and repair replacement tooling and machine parts as needed Prepare dies and equipment for production runs and validate tool readiness Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and complete detailed bench work Analyze and communicate quality and tool performance data Interpret and verify blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances using precision instruments Operate power presses and hydraulic test equipment to support production when required Complete work orders and documentation in CMMS systems Overhaul tooling according to Bill of Materials specifications Mentor apprentices and support ongoing development of team members Communicate status updates, challenges, and solutions effectively across teams What You Bring Education High school diploma or GED (required) Associate degree in metalworking or related field (preferred) Completion of a DOL-approved apprenticeship program in metalworking (preferred) Equivalent experience will be considered Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a medium-sized industrial or manufacturing environment Technical Expertise Hands-on experience with: Transfer and progressive dies Stamping presses, coil lines, decoilers, feeders, and straighteners Precision machining tools (lathes, mills, surface grinders) Strong understanding of: Metallurgy, material dynamics, and coatings Blueprint reading and technical drawings Quality control, production processes, and cost optimization Mathematics including algebra, geometry, and basic statistics Key Skills & Attributes Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Effective communication—both verbal and written Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong working relationships Proficiency with basic software tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and systems such as CMMS or SAP Comfort operating forklifts (stand-up and sit-down) Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on production excellence Work Environment & Schedule Rotating 3-shift schedule with flexibility to adjust hours as needed (including weekends) Overtime may be required to support operational needs Occasional travel (U.S. and international) may be required Opportunity to work hands-on in both maintenance and production support roles Why Join Us?
