Tow Truck Operator

Our light-duty tow operator will be tasked daily with providing services to our customers such as but not limited to, wheel lift towing, flatbed towing, minor recovery, jump starts, tire changes, fuel deliveries, lockouts, and small equipment transport. They will be in new late model wreckers or carriers equipped fully with anything to do the job. This is an entry level position and there will be room to move up within our company into medium-duty or even heavy-duty operator positions. This position will require some nights and weekends of being on call, you will need an area to park a truck during these times. This position pay is based on experience and ranges from $16-$20 an hour with commission on nights and weekends. Operators will interact with customers and providing necessary assistance. Some familiarity with automotive maintenance and repair may be required, but most of it can be learned on the job. The driver will also have to write up reports of services rendered and accept payments. Job Qualifications Must be able to work some nights and weekends. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds on a daily basis. Candidates must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver's license, a record of safe driving, and pass a background check to become a tow truck operator. Prior work experience isn't required, but having experience in trucking or automotive repair is always a plus. We will provide training and advanced certification to the right applicants. Applicants must live in the Crawfordsville/Lafayette Areas.
