Job Description

The Town is offering a $5,000 bonus to a qualified candidate. Would you like a challenging job working on various classes of vehicles and equipment? The Kennebunkport Public Works Department is accepting applications for the Town Mechanic position. We are searching for a team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. This is an invaluable position that works across multiple departments (Public Works, Police, Fire, etc.). The Town Mechanic is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Director of Public Works. High School diploma and specialized training in vehicle/engine repair with five years of related public works or construction equipment maintenance experience are required. Applicants must possess a valid Class B CDL license and Class I inspection license or be able to obtain it. The Town of Kennebunkport offers a competitive benefits package with a starting salary of $32.00 to $43.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
