eligibles and veterans. Duties Help This is a temporary appointment intended for seasonal work th is less than 6 months or 1040 hours from the de of appointment/service year. It is expected this position termined upon completion of the seasons work. The agency may non-competitively rehire an eligible temporary seasonal worker in subsequent years who works less than 6 months or 1040 hours in their service year. As a Tractor Operor your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Operes farm type gasoline or diesel powered tractors with tachments on fl or rolling terrain Performing several different operions including planting, cultiving, and/or harvesting of crops, mowing, and hauling. Operes auxiliary equipment and tachments such as cutter bars, plow, harrow, sprayers, discs, front-end loader, moveable dozer blades, and backhoes. (1) Opering tractors and equipment on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, lawns, roadways, and ponds; (2) Opering auxiliary equipment and tachments such as cutter bars, plow, harrow, sprayers, discs, front-end loader, moveable dozer blades, and backhoes; (3) Performing preventive maintenance and making minor repairs and adjustments to tractors and equipment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment.
