Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Technician to manage the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians through construction zones, roadwork sites, and other restricted areas. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with traffic management plans while maintaining a high level of awareness and communication at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic using signs, signals, and verbal instructions Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades Follow approved traffic management plans and safety procedures Communicate effectively with team members via radio or hand signals Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control methods as needed to ensure safety Respond quickly to emergencies or unexpected hazards Ensure work zones are clearly marked and visible at all times Conduct basic site safety checks and report hazards or incidents

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Valid Driver's License Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or roadwork (preferred but not required) Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods Capable of lifting and carrying traffic control equipment (up to 25-50 lbs) Comfortable working in high-traffic and potentially hazardous environments

Work Environment:

Outdoor construction, special event and roadway settings Exposure to moving vehicles, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions Will require early morning, evening, weekend, or night shifts (hours vary) This role does not follow a fixed full-time or part-time schedule. Hours vary weekly based.

From $20.00 per hour
