Requirements / Qualifications

1) Letter of Introduction 2) Resume 3) 2-3 Letters of Recommendation (dated within 3 years) 4) Copy of transcripts 5) Response to the following writing prompt: As a teacher in Oak Park, you will support a wide range of learners with varied strengths, needs, and backgrounds. Please describe how your teaching philosophy, practices, and strategies reflect the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to create inclusive learning environments that support success for all students. 6) Teaching Credential

• Multiple Subject credential (provide copy with document number) AND as per Education Code section 48000(g), under the purview of the California Department of Education (CDE), requires credentialed teachers who are first assigned to a TK classroom after July 1, 2015 to have one of the following by August 1, 2025:
• At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both
• Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of education described in bullet 1 (comparability determined by the LEA)
• Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
