Transportation Driver Jamestown Healing Clinic - Sequim, WA 98382 Apply Overview Salary Range $20.91 - $27.18 Hourly Position Type Per Diem Apply Description The Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) is seeking a dependable and compassionate Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments throughout the local area. This position supports an integrated care clinic providing primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opiate use disorder treatment services. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, culturally sensitive, and committed to delivering safe and supportive transportation for patients and their families. Position Overview This role provides patient transportation using JHC vehicles in a safe, timely, and professional manner. The Transportation Driver ensures compliance with all traffic laws, clinic policies, and confidentiality regulations while supporting a respectful and supportive environment for patients. Schedule Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Saturdays, 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with varied hours and days based on operational needs. Essential Functions Transport patients, including children when applicable, to and from designated locations in a timely manner using JHC vehicles Ensure all transportation is completed safely and in compliance with traffic laws and regulations Instruct passengers on required safety precautions while in JHC vehicles Maintain compliance with child safety requirements at all times Communicate effectively with patients and staff to support quality service delivery Provide calm, respectful support to patients and families while maintaining cultural sensitivity Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Follow established procedures for transporting supplies and laboratory specimens Operate wheelchair lifts safely and according to protocol Maintain appropriate vehicle conduct and report any concerns to management Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly Report delays, incidents, or accidents immediately to the Transportation Manager Perform additional duties as assigned Follow all JHC policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required Minimum five (5) years of verifiable driving experience with a clean driving record and Washington State DOL driver abstract At least one (1) year of experience in medical transport, passenger transport, emergency vehicle operation, military service, or related field Ability to safely transport passengers, including children, and secure child safety seats per Washington State law Comfortable driving in adverse weather conditions Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices Ability to remain professional in high-stress or unusual situations Experience working with individuals in recovery, experiencing mental health conditions, or facing housing instability Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) CPR/First Aid certification or ability to complete upon hire Must pass background check and meet vaccination requirements Valid Washington State Driver's License with ability to travel locally and regionally Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations Preferred Qualifications American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply Share job details to Transportation Driver Jamestown Healing Clinic - Sequim, WA 98382 Apply Overview Salary Range $20.91 - $27.18 Hourly Position Type Per Diem Apply Description The Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC) is seeking a dependable and compassionate Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments throughout the local area.
