Job Description As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI , you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, restricted access points, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials and/or access authorizations as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations. Support daily operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance, and communicating with site contacts and public agencies during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
