Position:
Cargo Operations Agent - CVG
BASIC FUNCTION
Monitor and coordinate SIA's warehouse and ramp operations in CVG station and ensure all vendors of supporting services such as ramp handling, security, crew transport etc. carry out their duties in a professional and timely manner.
MAJOR DUTITES
Onsite supervision of ramp handling agents to ensure operations are executed safely and securely as per SIA standards. Coordination with all appointed vendors, for e.g. ramp handling, security, engineering, crew transport, hotel, to ensure contracted services are provided. Provide oversight on cargo build-up and breakdown process at DHL ACS warehouse to ensure compliance with SIA's procedures and policies. Check and ensure all ULDs are airworthy before loading. During ramp operations, to ensure all ULDs are loaded as per loading instructions, all restraint locks on the aircraft are raised, and all information in the NOTOC are correct. Be available and able to respond to exigencies, for example, flight delays, aircraft on ground (AOG) situations. Be able to prepare and submit timely update reports for such incidents. Prepare and provide all required regular monthly services report, self-audit reports and DG report (if any). Perform invoice verification from appointed service providers. Compliance with all SIA procedures published in manuals and broadcasts from head office, for e.g., safety bulletins and alerts. Compliance with all rules and regulations / safety and security procedures from local authorities. Follow up with daily operational emails and requests from SIA head office and overseas stations. Ensure the safety and security of SQ Cargo aircraft. Prepare turnover of all significant activities to SQ cargo staff in the next shift. Provide coverage for Senior Cargo Operations Officer or Cargo Operations Agents if required. Management and Senior Cargo Operations Officer may assign any other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years of working experience on airport ramp preferred. Must be able to obtain Cincinnati Airport badge / US Customs seal. Must be able to pass courses required to perform this role, for e.g., Airport Security Training, SIA Dangerous Goods and Weight and Balance. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Good communication skills, able to analyze issues logically and solve problems. Ability to function well under pressure in difficult situations. Good planning and organization skills. Flexible schedule is required (may not have consecutive days off). Must hold a valid Driver's License.
